The other day I got an ear-full from Pia about modesty.
"Mom, if we get another Handren Andrensen (aka Hanna Anderson) catalogue in the mail, I'm going to tell Grandma I need a modest bathing suit-no zucchinis! Zucchinis aren't modest because they show the tummies. No zucchinnis!"
I agree with her. No zucchinis for us.

We were feeling crafty on Friday...
First we made a Mother's Day gift for Nana. The entire decoration of the frame was planned by Pia, and you can totally tell. It is completely her style. Yes, they also decorated themselves. We were so proud of the frame! Pia always wants to buy shiny, sticky, decorative, expensive things like those sequins when we visit craft stores and I always say no. (That is why she likes to shop with Grandma more than with me, but I digress.) In this instance, she will tell you, "I was right Mom, and you were wrong." Yep, true.
Then we made some barrettes with a tutorial that we found on "Small Things" (www.gsheller.com). Dulce's job was to glue, glue, glue! She performed it with zest.
Pia was able to roll up the flowers.
We like them. Good thing too, because we have the supplies to make LOOOOOOTS more!

Sisters, sisters
Dear Meg,
Thank you, thank you, thank you for loaning me your SUPER comfy sweats, t-shirt, and sweatshirt on Christmas Eve, when my nylons were cramping my style. During their extended stay with me, I've made them feel right at home. Can I adopt them? They are super cozy, and I could wear them 24/7. But no, I shouldn't. As comfortable as they are, we were made for greatness, not comfort, right? And as a wise friend once said, "Beauty matters, especially in January." So they will be patiently awaiting your return on Saturday. I will also be awaiting your return, but not so patiently. I can't wait to see you dear sister. Can't wait. At all.
Love, Rosie
